James Minson

James Minson’s whimsical, flame-worked sculptures celebrate growth and the cycles found in nature. Using symbols such as flowers, vines, clouds, raindrops, and sea life, Minson asserts that all of life is connected and growing together, nurtured by water, light, darkness and the passage of time.

“Our lives are completely determined by cycles we seldom think about, yet when we choose to look, they are clearly evident,” says Minson. “In my work, I try to represent biological, physiological and emotional patterns that create balance and define relationships in our world.”
