Jamie Walker's semi-abstract, ceramic cloud forms play on the inherent contradiction between the ephemeral nature of their subject matter and the concrete, timelessness of sculptural objects.
Walker is known for wrestling with material existence through his work, and also for questioning how we perceive the world and the objects we encounter in it. Many of pieces featured in Observations seem to shift as the viewer moves around them, creating a variety of distinct visual effects.
