Keep me up to date about this artist.
Since Therman Statom appeared at Pilchuck in 1971, he has been known as an innovator. Throughout his career, he has pushed the boundaries of his medium – challenging us to look at glass in new and interesting ways. The sculptures presented in Paisajes Geométricos display a refreshing curiosity and child-like innocence, while also demonstrating a new found wisdom and self-confidence. This seemingly paradoxical combination of innocence and wisdom is typical of Therman and his remarkable ability to keep his audience guessing. The Traver Gallery is pleased to present this important exhibition by Therman Statom as part of our 30th Anniversary Celebration.
