Ethan Stern named 2009 Corning Award & Saxe Award Recipient

Gallery artist Ethan Stern has been named as one of two recipients for the 2009 Corning Incorporated Foundation Award and 2009 Saxe Award by Pilchuck Glass School. Nominated by 2008 Pilchuck
 faculty and staff, each receives a full scholarship to attend the Pilchuck course of their choice.

Selected from a pool of nominees by a jury of artists, curators, and educators, the Corning Incorporated Foundation Award recognizes the most outstanding student from Pilchuck's prior summer. The Saxe Award honors an outstanding teaching or artist assistant. Two of the most prestigious scholarships Pilchuck confers, these awards are made possible by annual support from the Corning Incorporated  Foundation and from California collectors George and Dorothy Saxe.
