Randy Walker's Revolve opening featured on Glass Quarterly Hotsheet After an apprenticeship and a decade-and-a-half as hot glass assistant to William Morris, Randy Walker has been applying is formidable skills in referencing nature to his solo career. His larger-than life studies of leaves, with intricate veining and color shading, are tour-de-forces of hot sculpting glass. Just in time for the fall leaf-peeping season, a solo show of his work debuts at Traver Gallery‘s Tacoma location for an exhibition that will run through October 30th.

Tacoma Weekly's Dave Davison reviews Dale Chihuly: New Works Tacoma's Traver Gallery is hosting a show called “New Works: Chihuly.” An encounter with brand new glass vessels by Dale Chihuly in the intimacy of the gallery space is surprising. Chihuly has ascended to the heights of near apotheosis. One takes for granted that his work is only to be seen on TV or met in the church-like interior of a museum. A walk through the Traver Gallery's doors, however, brings one face to face with new works by the great, creative engine that is the Chihuly enterprise.
